General information
Cham is the oldest community in the Canton of Zug and one of the most beautiful lakeside locations in Central Switzerland. It is characterised by the Villette Park next to the lake as well as the idyllic countryside and the tradition-conscious, modern village surrounding St. Jakob’s church. An extensive network of footpaths and cycle routes takes you across pre alpine landscape, down to Lake Zug.

It was created in year 1865 and it is the most popular local recreation area with 46’000 square meter. In the middle of the park is a villa from year 1866. This villa is now a cultural centre with possibility to use as a restaurant, banquet, concert and exhibition.

The St. Jakob’s church is the only monumental church in the canton of Zug from the baroque period. The tower in the basement is from the second part of the 15 century. The church has been renovated in the last few years.
