About St. Moritz
General Information
St. Moritz is one of the most famous resorts in the world. It is chic, elegant and exclusive with cosmopolitan ambience. St. Moritz lies on the south side of the Swiss Alps in the sunny mountain valley of the Engadine. Its location, at 6600 ft. makes the summer and winter seasons wonderful. The healing mineral springs have enjoyed a widespread reputation since the middle ages. St. Moritz offers a sun shine of 322 days a year- more than anywhere else in Switzerland. The days in St. Moritz are usually filled with nature, attractions, activities and sport, so the evenings leave time for culinary pleasures. In St. Moritz, class and style are also evident socially and gastronomically. Refined international cuisine is subtly enhanced by the appropriate gems from the wine cellars. Some delicious and often surprising aspects of Grisons cuisine are revealed in more rustic culinary delights.
St. Moritz in Summer
Nowadays a larger number of guests travel to St. Moritz in summer than in winter. Hiking (in Switzerland's only National Park), cycling, mountain biking, the health spa, river rafting, horseback riding, polo, golf (18 holes), windsurfing, sailing, tennis, ice skating and the International High Altitude Training and Competition Center are just some of the attractions which draw vacationers to St. Moritz during the summer.
