The boutique Hotel an der Aare in the middle of Solothurn enjoys a wonderful view to the city center. It is located in the former nurses’ home of the Altes Spital Solothurn (the old Solothurn hospital), combining stylish, modern infrastructure and historical 18th century buildings.
This centrally-located little gem has sixteen rooms, all of which offer views of the old town of Solothurn and the Jura Mountains. Hotel guests can enjoy in the summer garden next to the Aare river an aperitif or a fine dinner. Later on, the lounge, with its vaulted ceiling, is available for a nightcap. A full breakfast is served in the small hall or in the roofed green courtyard.

Course rooms at the Altes Spital are suitable for seminars, banquets and exhibitions. The cultural events organized by the Altes Spital and a rock-climbing room complete the wide range of offerings at the Hotel Aare.

Bookings for the same day are possible until 10 pm.

In the old hospital (Altes Spital) we cultivate a sincere and personal hospitality in a comfortable, inspiring and unique atmosphere. We cosset our guests with a youthful and fresh from the market cuisine, combining the traditional with the Mediterranean which allows for a light and pleasing treat.
